Issues Viewing OC3D

Hey all,

As above is anyone else getting issues viewing OC3D.

Mine half loads until it gets to transferring ads.overclock3d.net and then stops, is anyone else getting this issue?

It has been like this for a few days now so I am struggling to get on the forums.

Thanks, Sam

Ah, so it`s not just me.

I thought it was cos I`m viewing at work (along with 50million other people).

Home it ~seems~ ok.

But ya, it does appear that it gets to the top banner ad and pauses for a whole while.

Dunno if cache clearing etc would do anything, doesn`t sound logical but meh.

Same... I get the top OC3D banner and all the options.. (Home, OC3D Reviews and so on..)

Then either the forum loads very slowly or not at all. :(

OK guys. Anyone having the problem can I have the following info:

1. How long has it been like this:

2. What browser (and can u test with others):

3. Do you have AV/Firewall:

4. Who is your ISP?

5. Cleared your cache?

6. Does it happen on the homepage?

1. Around 48 hours.

2. I am using Firefox but its the same in IE.

3. I dont use any AV and I am only running Windows Firewall.

4. I am with UK Online who are part of the Easynet network which Sky also run on.

5. I have just cleared my cache, still no joy.

6. The homepage seems a little more responsive but not perfect.

1. How long has it been like this: Months, tho I did think it was latency this end.

2. What browser (and can u test with others): IE only on this. Mac`s Safari is always lightning fast.

3. Do you have AV/Firewall: Yes, McAfee & Something

4. Who is your ISP? Good question, I don`t honestly know who the bbc uses.

5. Cleared your cache? Nope

6. Does it happen on the homepage? Well, I normally link straight to the forum, strange thing is tho all of a sudden it`s damn quick again.

Akaic I always put it down to the number of users here tbh. It does get bad at like recognized break times.

As I say tho, suddenly it`s all gone real quick again, but it`s past 2pm.

EDIT: gone a bit slow again. Can`t ping, but then that`s probably ur firewall. - or our firewall cos I still can`t ping without 4x timeouts.

I can ping OC3D fine but have always got pretty crappy latency compared to other places in the UK

Code:

Got anything downloading Tox? I've tried 3 locations now and all are in the range of 20-30ms

very wierd.. i've just tried the forum in mc donalds, starbucks via wifi and on a fancy internet enabled bt phone box. all loaded the forum fine, but admitedly did stall at the top ad for about 1 second.

servers seem fine tbh. no heavy load or traffic.

can anyone who has the problem visit this url and see if its any better:

http://forum.overclock3d.net/#

When I try to access OC3D on the school computers it takes way to long to load.. I see the top advertising banner then after about 20 seconds the rest of the page loads.. Then it takes another 15 seconds for the forum to appear..

Home PC usally takes about 5 seconds to load.

at college, and at my old school, the add banner at the top takes about 15 - 20 seconds to load, and it does it every time i load up a page

thats on IE 6

U sure it`s not 15-20 seconds AFTER the top banner is up ?

Clear white-ish underneath.
