i just wanted to see what you guys thought of my water cooling parts list before i got and make it final.

CPU Block: - EK Supreme HF Easy Mount CPU Waterblock

Drain Port: - Bitspower 1/4" Case Top Water Fill Set / Fill Port Matt Black

Fittings: - Bitspower 1/4" Thread Compression Fitting for 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Tubing Matt Black

Bitspower 1/4" Thread 90 Degree Rotary Compression Fitting for 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Tubing Matt Black

Bitspower 1/4" Thread 45 Degree Rotary Compression Fitting for 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Tubing Matt Black

Tubing: - Masterkleer 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD (13-19mm) Flexible Tubing : White / UV Blue

Pump: - unsure if i should use a single/twin Laing DDC (18w version) or Laing D5

i wont be adding the gpu to the loop until the new series of cards come out then ill be looking at a crossfire or sli setup so i guess they are going to need another 360mm rad

Any reason you're going for the EK Supreme HF?

You could get a Raystorm for less cash and reviews suggest its about the best performer out there just now.

id not seen the Raystorm before or any reviews on it do you know if you can use compression fitting with it?

thats one of the reason i made a post so that i could what other people thought and also they could say if maybe there was something better out there that i had missed. as this is my first water cooling loop im not really sure where about on the net i should be look at products or buying from.

its not the nest looking thing in the world tho lol but if it works its good enough.

is the outter mounting part of it made from plexi? and would i have to lap the contact face or is it in good enough shape to use and get good results?

One single 18w laing ddc is more than enough for this setup. It would even take a watercooled gpu as well. But i would also get another pumptop for higher pressure and better flow. And i wouldnt mount the pump directly onto chassis. They are a little loud.Otherwise it looks good. Those bitspower fittings looks good, expensive though.

The block is machined with a very very slight bow down the centreline where the cores sit. So lapping it would defeat the object. It's steel backed plexi and while it does flex a tiny amount. It's no more fragile than the rasa I replaced. As for looks that comes down to personal taste, with a couple of 3mm LEDs you can mod it to suit your rig.

i was looking at getting the XSPC pump top for it. yes the fittings are expensive but its something you will always be able to reuse

ok thats good i dont fancy spending hours lapping it lol. thats a shame was hoping it was just plexi so you could replace it with some other colours

Just checked and it's actually alu backed plexi, from the review I saw this should be removable so you could in theory replace the plexi. Pure OC review shows the alu plate removed.

thanks for the info awesome job saved me alot of work

it looks like thats the route ill be going even if you can not change the plexi i guess i could live with it
