I bought one and took it straight back as a waste of money... There are other ways to test a psu.

but where else can i get a voltmeter thingy from?

im gonna get one today shopping and maplins is the only place i can think of - i mean can i squeeze one in for a fiver

Maplin extremely rarely have a good thing on offer. Silly things like a disposably priced dremel-esq kit for £20 - which is perfect for messing about with minor mods.

Some component prices are ok. The more u buy the better it gets. In the main tho, they aint the first place to look.

I picked up an antec psu tester from kustom (I think) for like £11 or something. Haven`t taken it out of the plastic wrap yet cos I`ve had no need to use it. However for £11 and something I can claim as an expense, it`s not bad. Doesn`t do the serial things like that one mind.

You can get a normal voltmeter from Maplin for about a tenner, or just grab one off eBay
