is this a good cpu cooler for my LGA 775

i had to turn my New pc in the store for a rma for the corsair H100

so i tought to pull my old pc apart and give it a good clean

change the paste etc

built it back together switched it on and i was working on the side panel so those fans where not directing towards the cpu

the pc shut down immediatly

after downloading the a CPU temp prog i kinda jumped !

81 degree's on idle :S omfg

its an itel standard cooler with those annoying plugs and well basicly its fooked

ime basicly looking for a cheap but decent CPU cooler to cool my old's pc cpu

its a dual core quad lga 775

after looking i came acrros this one dunno if its good tho but i guess u can't expect much for that price ?

, the MB is one of the first asus Rog and back then they diden't refine their chipset cooling

ai i couldent fit the cooler

not an issue since ive got 1 x 200 mm blowing on it , 1 x 120 pulling , 1 x 200 mm pulling

so the cooler that came with it is obsolete

Still I think you should try to place the fan so that it can blow air directly into the heat pipes!

it won't fit

i do have a solution

apperantly their are brackets so u can place other fans onto the heatsink

but yeh i know what u mean

atmo the CPU is at 52 degree's after running a game

the problem with the fan that came with it is that it has a cover that has to fit on the fram of the heatsink

but the heatsink is a tight fit i mean like really really tight fit

meaning the fan won't fit around it

ill prob look into it since ime still waiting for my new PC to come back
