Is "pull" an option

I have a few basic questions about watercooling, because I plan to WC my rig in a hopefully not to far away future, but atm I need to get a new case because of thermal issues with my current one. I plan to get a HAF X of coolermaster. I will replace the front and side fan with spectre pros, but using the 200mm one of the side in the top until I get WC.

When I watercool my future rig I will go either with a 45mm(alphacool) or 60mm(phobya) thick radiator. Here starts my 1st question: Would it be a option to place the phobya rad in the top with fans pulling air through the rad out the case? Moreover I wouldlike to know if there are serious performance issues compared to a push config?

Atm. I'm using an H60 which I'm going to keep until I get a real WC. Therefore I want to buy fans for it that I can use for my WC later on. My favourites for that position are atm two Noíseblocker BlackSilent Fans XLP-120mm PWM. Would they suit a pull config? Another question about the fans: I have got an fan control of phobya which is for 3-Pin fans. Can I use this for 4-Pin fans or would I need a adapter?

I really have to stop typing now. Hoping for some helpfull replies.

Well personally pull on the top panel isn't worth it as you could possibly take in the exhausted air from the back panel fan back into the case, causing case temps to rise a little.

I guess it's something you could experiment with.

pull is only effective if you have a good airflow through the case, and if you dont then you want to get the fans into push config to create a sort of an airflow pattern, a 200mm at front and side should be more than adequate especially if they aer the specter pros, i use them myself, in my haf 922, as well as an exhaust 140 specter, 230 side adn another cm 200 top, 140mm is controlled to min volatage to make most of the air push out through 200mm top, i suggest simmilair config for h100 but with push.

and for tc; i suggest push and pull, or either depends on the rad, i dont know the rad myself, if the spacnig between fins is big then youll be fine with pull but that alwys depends on lop etc.

and 4 pins are compatible with 3 pins, cant remember diffrence but its notihing major, and nothing performance wise

its almost what looks good, having the rad face exposed or rotating fans exposed inside the case.

there might be a couple of degrees difference (as said) but experiment with a choice you like.

most like push/pull because they can light everything up with LED from top and bottom.

lightning is irrelevant for me because I will try to don't even build one LED in my rig because they are just annoying me when I want to sleep.
