Is it worth getting one of these corsair ram coolers

Well OCZ do a nice alu one for half the price... I have the corsair fan from when I had the dominators. It's quiet and helps keep things cool when you OC your ram.

If you've got the money, get it!

or you could just buy a decent 80-120mm fan which would most likely do a better job than those things anyway:p

Raging.

Yep, just bolt a 120mm fan over. Will probably be quieter aswell... I know that 60mm or 40mb fans or whatever they are using in that cooler can make a terrible noise for hardly any airflow

Haha just BOLT IT ON there :p

I use the OCZ XTC

Its good if you run it on a dynamic voltage using your motherboards software or with a voltage stepdown adapter since its a bit whiney on 12v. I have mine at 5v at 25*C or below and up to 12v as the cpu aproaches 45*C.

Doesnt actually fit on the ram fits the DIMMs, aslong as they arent too big.

The reaper x ram that just got won are probably too high for it for example.

If they are normal ram modules then itll be fine.

Curious - I did that but used sys temp, different values obviously.

How does the OCZ XTC cooler get powered? If it's via a standard 3 pin fan connector then could i use it with my zalman fan controller?
