Is it really worth swapping for 2011

I have rampage 3 extreme i7 970 is really worth swapping up to a rampage 4 extreme with i7 3930k ? thoughts people because having hard time deciding
 
only if you have a grand + to make the change current tech is always going to be better in some degree than older tech. Plus you have future upgrade paths availavle to ya.
 
then go for it a I'll buy ur current setup for 100 shipped

lol yeah trying to build a rig to replace the one i had to sell (my daughters) Bought an AMD 939 setup mobo cpu ram and hdd only to get the board and find out it had a bad pci-e slot Bad part is it showed in his listed pics i just missed it. He did give me 5$ back of the 25$ I paid which i felt was fair. But finding another board has proved fruitless plus i started thinking 939 was a step way back from what she had. Currently eying a 1366 setup on fleabay but I've bid it up to 250 already and thats about where i stop as its pushing my budget.

But ur 2011 build should be sweet.

1366 is good been using since day one also just noticed that RE 4 is EE-ATX thank god my case can fit that otherwise been bit spanner in the works lol
 
lol yeah 1366 is great never used one myself but all reports indicate its a winner well that auction just ended at 314$ glad I bowed out lol more than I had budget for with my rigs upgrades as well lol
 
lol I went from AMD Hex Core 1090T with Asus Crosshair IV Extreme to my Sandy Bridge setup never went 775 either lol.
 
I love my SB setup then only thing I'd change about it .... is maybe getting the UD7 for the increased power phases for lower vcore overclocking. But in reality I'm at 4.5GHz at 1.36 vcore i cant see needing any more power
