irql not less or equal

i couldnt see plug n play os, but i did disable the onboard networking and the system still went into bsod (it does seem like there is a random array of errors though)

i did however see an option something like os2 dram > 64mb (vaguely) with the option non-os2 selected, the other being os2.

edit: ive had enough of this today, ill try more tomorrow...thanks alot for all your help, please anyone continue to post ideas :)

Ignore the OS/2 setting.

The plug n play setting I mentioned is called "Resources Controlled By" in your bios. It's in the "PnP/PCI Configurations" section.

If you set it to "manual" I believe windows will be left to assign your IRQ's on each boot.

Setting it to "auto" means your bios will assign them, record what it chooses (called ESCD) and re-use this info on each boot. So, you might also want to try the "Reset Configuration Data" setting it will reset ESCD once then turn itself off.

More info on ESCD:

seems it was the realtek hd audio driver on the dfi disk. got one off their site and now everything appears to work, despite my computer seeming to be a lot slower (odly) with this newer driver.

thanks for all the help, i hope this is it
