Can't decide which will benefit me more and/or if I will need to tweek the 3466 compared to just XMP'ing the 3200.

Intel i7-8700k on the ASUS APEX X board for mainly gaming at an over clock of 5 ghz. But will do some light video/photo editing with Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere.

Also, any much difference between the Corsair Dominators or their Vengeance ram?

Doesn't matter much. Price is your biggest difference maker here. If it's like $20 more sure why not but anything more than that? I'd get 3200.

Dom's are overrated imo for the cost. I'd rather get a set of the Vengeance or HyperX stuff

Getting high-speed memory will always offer diminishing returns. 3200MHz is a sweet spot ATM, as it is still plenty fast and offers reasonable pricing (in today's market...).

What is the price difference between the two kits you are considering?

you wouldn't see any performance difference. i would go with the cheaper/ one the fits my build colors.

3200 vs 3466 no noticeable difference. Dominator vs Vengeance is just the looks. Getting more ram will benefit you more than 266MHz bump.

Yeah I agree with everyone else. 3200 will be cheaper and while it may be slightly slower in benchmark graphs during RAM specific tests compared to 3466, it's nothing you'll ever notice in real world use.

Yes, I agree with all of you so I went with a 3200mhz two stick kit. Got it for under $200.00 from Corsair Direct. Thanks all for your great advice and I wish you all a safe and happy holiday!.
