If you already have an AX860 do you really need another? Also I see you're pretty set on the CM Cosmos, if I may ask Why? It's a very large pricey (extortionate) case with not a lot going for it would you consider a better alternative?

I'd say if you dropped the case for something else say the Corsair Obsidian 500 series https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/corsair_obsidian_500d_review/1

Then reuse your current PSU you'd save around £275 and I'd definitely go with the 8700K just for epeen props.

I agree with Wraith, if your PSU still works there isn't much need to replace it. You could save money by not purchasing a new CPU and go for a Ryzen 2nd Gen processor.

With a Ryzen 2nd Gen processor you will have some notable architectural enhancements and better high-speed DDR4 memory support. Beyond that you will also get a decent stock cooling solution, especially on the 2700X. TBH, overclocking doesn't even get you that much for the 2700X in a lot of cases.

What are you using this system for? TBH I would stay clear from an Intel i7 7800X, as the 8700K is a much better 6-core Intel processor and games a lot better than X299 (which uses a different cache structure).

If you let us know your use case we can give you better hardware recommendations.

totally agree. I bought the C700P, turns out its total crap for watercooling. Components got warm even with 2 x 360 rads. Airflow was horrid. I'm trying to sell it now.

Also why a 780Ti if you already have a 1080ti? O.o or is that a typo?

Why are you buying such an old CPU and motherboard?

I really do advise against the C700P for watercooling. It is a massive disappointment. I am trying to get rid of it as I post this now.

It looks beautiful but really isn't that functional. I would class it a little gimmicky with its motherboard rotation options. The Thermal Take tower 900 was a better watercooling case. Cheaper too.

Hi TTL

Sorry that my post was not how you would like it i have not been on your forum for a bit and keeping up with the tech etc and the forum rules as my dad has been seriously ill and then he passed away last week.
