i just got my iPhone 2 days ago, and im in love with it. i got the 8gig and its worth every penny, to me its not really even considered as a phone, more as a mere feature of it.

If the iPhone was on verizon I would be all over it. Unfortunately AT&T around my area is garbage and I would never leave verizon.

I still adore my cheapo Motorolla W220 does what a phone should do and my mp3 player does what that should do so why change?

Nice one ai_01. But the lack of 3G or 'next G' is a bit of a turn off, as you'd think spending that amount of money it should at least have decent d/l speed and clarity.

I dont think its doing very well in the UK, Guess thats cus its a complete rip off here. Also the fact it only has EDGE which there isnt much coverage here. Not sure why they didnt go for 3G?

The reason for that is, there is on 3G network in the states, they are still on 2.5G

The lack of 3G hasn't bothered me at all. The wi-fi on it is so good that whenever I am in London, I can normally hook into someone elses network for free. Plus whenever it logs onto one location, it remembers it.

When I walk into my house in the evening, it connects automatically onto my network without me having to push a key.

I've actually given XMS my old SE P1i as I chose the iPhone over this!

There has been a lot said about the iPhone, that it doesn't have a good camera on it (well it seems fine and I'd rather have a proper camera than a phone cam), that it doesn't have 3G (so what? It's fast enough on EDGE and on Wi-Fi is mega quick), etc.

I love the fact it has proper HTML web browsing rather than WAP :) Plus I love the way txt messages are sent in a sort of messanger conversation. The email on it is great, the screen fantastic...it's just a great bit of kit!

I wasn't that sure of getting one originally, but now I've got it, I simply wouldn't look back! Ok it's not perfect but it's very close to being!! :worship:

I'll agree with you when theres 3G and push email, o a bit cheaper. Other than those 3 it does look like a nice little phone.

It may be fast enough on edge, but theres not much network coverage in the UK, so its not really an issue of speed.
