Hi,
Greetings from Northumberland. I'm new to both the forum and to PC building, and have found my way here after watching TTL's videos on YouTube. Huge thanks for the videos TTL, extremely helpful.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm looking forward (as a complete novice) to seeking the help and guidance of more experienced forum members. In time, I'd hope to share any experience I gain with people who are in the same position as me.
What I do hope though, is that people aren't as dismissive of others here as they seem to be on YouTube (or the Internet in general actually). One thing I've learned so far is that with a lot of components, there's no clear and outright line as to what's good and what's not. What really grinds my gears is that rather than accept people's opinions on subjective matters as just opinions, people see fit to chastise each other. As a noob watching the videos and looking for advice, I'm finding that I'm wading through comment after comment of people slagging each other off. That sort of carry on makes it much harder for me to actually get any use out of the comments and is not helpful to anyone. And - more importantly, that negative behaviour towards the people uploading videos is actually quite hurtful. I watched TTL do a video recently where he addressed the trolls who put him down and I have to admit that I really did feel for the bloke. I'd certainly struggle to carry on providing what is essentially to most, a great FREE service if people slagged me off constantly. Hey ho though haters gonna hate I suppose, and the age of the keyboard warrior is upon us!
Rant over you'll all be pleased to know!!
I know this is an introductions area, so I'm not going to post my first question here, but I'm looking for some guidance on buying a GPU. Can anyone let me know where would be the best place to post such a question?
Many thanks
