hey everyone,

Im absolutely fed up with this pathetic internet, I get 56kb/s download rate.......can anyone one suggest a good internet plans and providers within Australia?

im will to pay around 80 dollars a month.

ps im new to all this stuff so bare with me

Hello! I for many months have struggled with my internet! and i have realsiled that it is beccause my line just can't handle any higher speeds! One of the big reasons in my case was the my line attenuation was so high 61db and that is messured from my house to my nearest telephone exchange! I am just suggesting that you will want to check what your attenuation is and do a line test to give an estimate of your max line speed before you go spending extortionate amounts of money on a connection that you may not receive. but if i were to pick a good internets i would go tier 1

however its abit more expensive than 80. if it were me i would just look at well known providers let me looks see....this site looks useful, from just looking at that site i can tell you that BigPond Optus and iinet look like good providers.

It would help to tell use your location, distance from exchange, current provider and plan details.

But from my experience, Telstra do a good job for my home and business connections, never have slows and dropouts.. unless i cap the data plan, but honestly i pay $80 a month for there 200gb elite plan ADSL2+ and ive never had a single problem. iinet say they are better, but from what ive heard its all lies
