Hello there,

this is my first post here so far. Just to introduce myself a bit, i'm 18 Years old born and living in Germany. So please forgive me if i annoy you with my bad english.

So, my problem is about my internet connection. I bought a pretty decent contract with a local provider here in germany. The contract is about 100Mbit/s Downstream and 5Mbit/s Upstream. I now receive this internet for 4 Months and i got nearly no problems. 2 Weeks ago i killed my Wlan USB-Stick. Just a simple one from Hama. Than i bought one from "AVM" the Fritz!Wlan USB Stick N. The router i received from my local provider is the Fritz!Box 6320 Cable. The problem is that, when i connect to my network i receive up to 40Mbit/s via Wlan. What i estimate as pretty decent. But after 10 to 30 seconds it drops to 0,07 to 0,50 Mbit/s. That is my problem.

Things that i actually tried:

  • Reinstall Driver
  • Reinstall Windows
  • Change Config from router
  • Different locations

maybe someone can help me.
Thanks in advance!

The router you own is only good for developing schizophrenia at it's users. Spare yourself from pain and get a new router that you will use for Wi-Fi only (N standard routers can be found for ~20€). Get a straight-through ethernet cable, plug one end to the WAN port of your new router, and plug the other end at the any LAN port of Fritz! router. You will also need to tweak settings a bit, it should be simple, but if you need any help, write a message here. And avoid Fritz! gear in the future ;)
