International Warranty

Hey guys, didn't know where to post this so i posted it in here. Basically i'm going to the States in a few months and we know that hardware can be a bit cheap there. So my idea was to build a few parts such as motherboard and GPU(or if i have more money by then). I know for sure that EVGA offer true international warranty now since they done a warranty overhaul.

I found this on bit-tech: 'Finally, EVGA has confirmed that warranties are now truly world-wide: if a product is taken from its country of origin - because you move elsewhere in the world, perhaps, and take your rig with you - it will be valid for RMA to a local warranty centre.'

And looking on EVGA's website, they have a repair center in Munich, Germany.

I know it would be better to buy from the UK but would there be any issues from buying abroad as its the first time i will be doing this. UK prices are too high for me right now, buying from the States will be more affordable option for me.

Has anyone bought from abroad?

very hard question, i never buy outside from eu, rarely outside uk, mainly because of warranties, id say you mail evga about it

Don't know anything about the warranties...........................just wanted to say Have a nice holiday !

Got a reply from EVGA, they said the newer card should qualify for the new Global Warranty and if i do need to RMA them then i would send them back to their repair center in Munich, Germany so i guess i need to decide on what to get

Has anyone bought computer parts from aboard? How have you carried them back home, in suitcase or hand luggage?
