You need an internet connection so it can do he web page rendering test (no 5) othger wise it will not initialise.

@ Marsey - I got PCmark04 working on a fresh install of Win7 64bit, running as an administrator in XPmode. I also had to install windows media encoder 9 as well. After failed attempts I set that to run in XP mode and the test has now run ok.

I am about to submit a score to see where I come for the first time.

This cannot be right ? what have i done wrong? also posting in my thread.

You shouldn't really need it to connect to the interent. By doing that you are slowing the computer down slightly. My benching set up will be the board, tinyxp10, a mouse and ps2 keyboard.

Save all the screen shots and data files to a usb and upload later on.

you need the web for pcmark7 as it only shows the results on orb first

04 wouldnt work in win7 for me

Thanks for pointing that out and as i stated it did have ne baffled oh well I am the n00b and thought I was allowed to do stuff like that

PCTwin has already highlighted my error in our Log section and I will rectify it today.

Regarding the net thing, I thought that was the reason why mine did not intialise web rendering, I will trial run it later.

yea, i think strabs and pctwin have put results up for all the tests but i still have a couple to do and i still cant get pcmark 04 to run.

check our threads as this is the main thread and we all have the results in those not here

i still have folding at home results to do but getting a clock to be stable is proving to be a chellange tbh

not even the automated overclock was stable enough for 2 minutes folding let alone 24 hours :/

I,ve just ran PCmark04 on a different system with win7 64bit hp

It runs in winxp compatability mode no problems again.

No need for administrater. just xp mode. windows fully updated.

Scores are a bit low, need to optimise os.

i can get it to run in xp, 7 fails but it just wont do the grammar test :\

nothing i tried would give me a score.

I just ran PCmark 05 on w7 without a problem. Dont have 04 to test.

05 is ok, the issue i had was with the installer for that but 04 is being a bitch, i can get it to run fine but it wont pass the grammar test no matter what i do.

wth am i doing wrong :/

are you installing it in compat mode, or just running it in it or am i just cursed.

I was running it as an admin in compat mode, I installed it as normal. I also run the media encoder as an admin in compat mode. I really do not know why it is failing the grammar checks?

thats how i tried it, and i tried installing it in compat mode, and i tried slower clocks speeds, i tried setting the affinity, i tried a reg edit for the cpu, i tried limiting the cpu via the bios, i have tried win 7 and xp. no matter what i have tried it just fails that test
