Intermittant sound fault.

We run our sound from the high def graphics card, a XFX 5870 XXX.

The problem also used to happen with the 4870.

The problem is on start up, the sound sometimes starts but often it does not.

I go into device manager & disable the high def sound, then enable it again & it works.

Any ideas what is causing this please.

Updated all drivers.

Need more info, what OS you running. What sound card is installed into the system? Is the orig on board or a separate card?

Be sure to check all the settings.
