Pre-orders for Intel's Broadwell-E CPUs have gone live at NCIX in the USA, pricing Intel's Flagship 10-core CPU at over $2300. Let's hope that these prices are not real.

The information on NCIX is pure click bait. They have a history of inflating prices on new unreleased products they have no stock for. This way it can drive traffic to their site for people with the cash that want to place pre-orders. I'd wait until Intel releases their official pricing skews.

Is anyone in here dumb enough to think that Intel's flagship CPU will be a bargain, especially with NO competition? I guarantee that this CPU's price will suck hard, and that people will still buy them. Not most of us "regular folks" mind you.

I sure wish AMD didn't suck. :(

I guess if they advertised cheaper prices and intel did release them at a higher than expected price point then they'd be obligated to fill any existing prepaid orders.

There's probably some kind of disclaimer but I'm too lazy to look

Intel sure is making a pretty penny off these margins...
I still bet Kaap buys 2 or 3:p

But seriously, this is the ultimate slap in the face to AMD. :amdwar:

I might buy one if the price is right.

I have an old X79 PC that needs upgrading.

On 14nm Broadwell E could overclock better than 22nm Haswell E, this could make life interesting.
