Just to clarify, Intel 4 is 7nm, not 4nm as stated in the article.

With that said I'm surprised Ireland. I'm not sure why there other than corporate friendly. Either way building more away from China is good for the global economy.

There's a big push to move production to here in Ireland for chip makers. Beyond the tax benefits, I don't know why. Maybe because we have a lot of water??? :p

It's a proper haven is Ireland.

Dell are based there, then historically you had things like DMC etc. It's also far closer to Europe than China.
