Important sh-s223f firmware update

Hello to everybody.

I work at the Samsung Service center for DVD burners.

To avoid that this drive will fail during the usage I recommend

everybody who owns this drive (& the SH-S223Q) to update the firmware of the drive.

The latest version of the firmware is SB02.

This firmware can be downloaded on our website:

samsungodd.com

This firmware will improve the stability of the drive.

I can also send the firmware to you by e-mail.

Please contact me at callcontact3@hanaro.eu and I will send the latest

firmware to you by E-mail.

Somehow I fail to trust this. You ask users to email to some very strange email for support? The site does seem to be solid though.

I'm sorry if my lack of trust is misplaced.
 
I was also a bit skeptical of the email address provided.

However I had a look at http://hanaro.eu/ and it's an After Sales Services provider amongst other things. Perhaps they provide After Sales support for Samsung?
 
This is a serious issue.

I'm not asking the owners of these models to e-mail me, I'm just offering my support with the help of e-mail if the users prefer this.

I work for Hanaro which is based in the Netherlands and is the service center for Samsung optical disk drive's.

Anyways I strongly recommend everybody to update the firmware of the SH-S223F and SH-S223Q.

There are some firmware issue's with the earlier versions which can result in a defective drive.

To avoid this to happen please update to firmware version SB02.

As I wrote in my earlier post this firmware version can also be download on the Samsung website: samsungodd.com
