If noise is not a factor, which fans move the most air?

never used them I have used tornados and deltas before and I wouldnt touch them again lol a tornado almost took off my finger tip once when my hand slipped and went into it at full speed back in the days of the barton core cpu's lol I had one running on my slk man those were the days we were pushing for 3GHz lmao

yeah they seem like they would be a bit too much haha.

thinking of giving the ultra kaze a go. I've used scythe slipstreams before and was happy with them. at a 11.99 worth a try.

ended up ordering three ultra kazes for exhaust as I've had luck with scythe in the past. will comment on quality and performance when I get them.

Haha, the DB rating on the ultra kaze's isnt even THAT bad, and they are my exhaust fans, considering my PC isnt right next to my face, and the noise is at the back it shouldnt be too bad. At least i hope...

Plus I have a fan controller, so worst case scenerio I can cank them down some.

As per the review here on OC3D, it was stated that cranked down to 2000rpm their sound is not remotely bad, and barely any performance loss, so we shall see.

I so want to put money down on how long you can last

... but there are probably OC3D rules against it, and there will be a need for constant validation you're not sneaking in normal fans.

You can get away with ramping down the voltage for Sayno Denki fans because they have excellent motors and bearings, but the Scythe UK.... good luck to you sir.

have you owned the ultra kaze? I have a 120x120x12mm scythe slip stream on my side panel as its the only thing that won't touch my nh-d14 while shut. its really loud but doesn't bother me.

got me worried now. well in four days we will find out. The UK's are after all a full 10dba higher. However the side fan is a 12mm, so i dont believe the 37dba rating on it, as it's going to be louder, it's close to a grill and that alone adds a lot more noise. I'm sure a lot of that noise is vibration also, when I get home I'll try to rubber mount it and see what the difference is.

On a side note rubber mounted my side 12mm scythe fan, made a WORLD of difference, the noise was in fact almost all vibration. But is to be expected when it's so thin spinning that fast close to a grill.

The UK's still have no arrived so I'm still not sure what I've gotten myself into. Listened to plenty of youtube videos on them though, some are insanely loud but have the notorious clicking and are obviously bad fans..

The videos that did not have that noise sounded tolerable to me.

has anyone here owned a good UK without the click defect? what would you compare them to?

I've heard "blow dryer on low" which to me is nothing.

Are these fans 12v's? If so you could do the 17v mod and crank them up faster haha

I dont think I could handle that much noise in my computer I am struggling as it is with my GPU fan annoying me.
