Ideas on web hosting?

Hey guys, I'm wanting to create a simple website for my guild using a template from clantemplates.com and microsoft frontpage to edit the information. Now I want to have my own domain but have no idea who to use to host my site. I'm looking for something relatively cheap but is simple to upload my site and so on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...By the way I live in Ontario, Canada...if that even matters lol

Sadly I have no experience with or knowledge of web hosting companies in Canada. With that said I had a website hosted with 1and1.com and they seemed to be competent and reasonably priced. Their hosting also included a website design program, having used nothing else I can't really comment on the quality of it.

I use www.primehosting.co.uk, they use CPanel which is the best known program for web hosting. You can upload files by Cpanel or just use FTP like most other web hosting companys will allow. The prices are pretty competitive and the service is lightning fast.

www.godaddy.com for the domains.. I think at one point i was paying £3.99/yr for a .com domain cuz I got it in a sale! xD

I have always used www.namecheap.com as I found them the cheapest and easiest to use since you create an account which you register all your domains under so they are easy to manage under one account/

qiq were offering a package for £3/year at christmas ( 10,000MB Web space - 100,000 MB Bandwidth) think you've prob missed out now tho.

I am using tsohost for hosting and I use 123reg for domains (£2.79/year)

There are some amazing deals on american hosting tho
