been a big fan of watching the youtube videos very well done.

just wondering if it is possible to get the 4ghz @1.25v bios settings i have pretty much the exact system as shown in the video but cannot get it stable at 4ghz at the voltage i know the chips can be different but just wanted to try out the settings.

currently a few things are OC i will have to check again later since I cant see or remember which one is at which volt, is there a way to print screen while in bios?

but running at 1.35v bios and it is stable but temps are a bit high.

my system is

X58A-UD3R v2

6 gb g.skill ram 1600 9 9 9 24 (getting another 12gb of g.skill)

gtx 460 1gb

noctua d14 but getting the xspc rs360 kit soon

i just think my chip isnt as good as the one that tom has in his videos but just wanted to see if his settings are close to mine and see how much i can push the cpu.

well a bit late for changing the order now already ordered if i need in the future ill just buy the extra rad and change it or add it to the loop.

video editing im thinking of getting into and working with megui or the likes, maybe some karaoke styling etc aswell.

just wanna get the most out of this system

like after reading through some guides on which volts does what still a bit confused, also need to read up on ram timings, should i just leave the other setting to auto apart from the ones that are specified on the ram stick eg. 9-9-9-24

first thing would be to get your cpu stable at the 4ghz 1.35v is probably about right as my 920 takes that for 3.8ghz then go onto setting your ram to 1600mhz.

you could then try and see if the ram is capable running lower timings such as 8-9-8-24 shouldn't need to touch any other ram timings

Afraid every chip is different, and some may take more voltage for more or less clock. My 920 will happily do 4.0GHz at 1.32V, but most people will need 1.35V. Have you updated your bios to the latest version, as that can sometimes massively affect overclocking.

my bios is at FG which is the lastest non beta version of bios last time i checked on the GA website.

ive got my ram at 1.6v where the rated is 1.5 so might be able to get some more timing tweaking out of it.

looks like i was able to get a stable run of prime95 with 4ghz@1.25V cpu-z now just gotta mess with timings on ram and try to get that lower.

looks like this chip is actually pretty good
