Hey, new to this forum, but been watching TTLs channel for a while now, i hope im posting in the correct place i did a quick search before i posted
im having a few issues with my i7 930 overclocked to 4GHZ (200x20) its been running perfect for months but in the last 3 weeks i started getting 101 and 124 BSOD's (amongst others), i first thought it was a windows issue so i did a clean install but made no difference.
i then went to my overclock thinking it wasn't as stable as i thought, so i increased my vcore slightly but again it still persisted, any one any suggestions?? below is my overclock settings and rig setup, i have a fear that this may be caused by the silicone deteriorating, its happened to me before with similar symptoms
I7 930 D0
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
ASUS GTX580 (stock speed until i get this sorted out)
Corsair XMS3 6GB 1600mhz
880watt Hyper 85% PSU
H100 (with OC temps around 66deg for 12 hours folding when i did it months/years ago)
Overclock
Load line calibration - AUTO (wouldnt work on any other setting and i have no idea what auto has set it to)
CPU vcore - 1.356 (iv tried higher but issue persists, will boot at 1.35 but bumped it up one for stability, cpuz shows it as 1.328)
QPI/VVT Voltage - (Auto (wont post on anything less than 1.295, iv tried going up as far as 1.375 but issue still occuring, i was to scared to go higher)
CPU PLL - AUTO (currently running prime 95 on 1.84 to see it it helps)
DRAM voltage - AUTO (actually 1.65 which is correct for the ram)
evertyhing else is AUTO i never needed to manually set them so i didnt
Clock Ratio - 20
BCLK - 200
Memory Multiplier - 8
QPI CLK - AUTO
XMP - Disables
Performance Enhance - Standard
All timing setings are auto
If anyone has any ideas as to what is causing this i would appreciate the advise as im not an expert in overclocking and am beginning to get to the stage where im not sure what else to try, i would like to keep my overclock at 4GHZ so i would like to sort this out without dropping the frequency, again its been running for maybe years at these settings
cheers
