i7 5820K or i7 6800K

Hi All

Looking to upgrade my rig to do more streaming, video & picture editing and gaming.

Found a nice deal on the older Intel i7 5820K with Gigabyte GA-X99 Ultra Gaming RGB Motherboard with £70 cash back & £30 in steam gift.

Was waiting on the 6800K but with this excellent cashback deal really thinking about getting that instead, since I like saving money and getting a good deal.

I don't think theirs a huge performance increase over the 5820K with the the 6800K. Whats your thoughts people.

I was in a similar position a few months back and opted for the X99 platform, Pretty much the same performance in games, Extra cores and threads for various workloads which is a big advantage over Skylake and quad channel memory.

Plus X99 boards look sexy ! ^_^

Get the cheaper one. Not much difference between them. Both still have 28PCI lanes, 6C/12T, and same motherboard options.
