i7 4770k dead core?

hi guys, how's everyone been?
so today i started playing BF4 and i was thinking "this is not running well on my rig, so i did a few tests and found that my cinebench 11.5 score was a bit low 7.45 at 3.9ghz at 0.990V and i saw that one of the squares was rendering a lot slower then the others, in fact it wouldn't render at all until the other parts was finished, I made a video (it's not very good, it's my 1st one....)

i've even gone into the bios and turned off the hyper threading did the test same thing happened, i re-downloaded cinebench same thing...

anyone seen anything like this before and can one core just die like that?

what does task manager say when running cinebench? My friend had a amd athlon 2 x4 burn out a core so it now only shows 3.

For one it is incorrect to call them "cores" they are threads. Second what happens when you reset your BIOS to defaults?

Disable Hyper-Threading and look in task manager when running a stress test?

I think it has something to do with core parking on bf4, have a look at xfactor gaming's youtube site, the most recent of his videos is about core parking and the is a piece of software you can download as well, I used it and my pc is running great on bf4 now. he is not the only person talking about the issues with core parking. I hope this might help

i'll look into it, but i don't think it has anything to to with the cpu, as it's showing on cinebench 11.5

Go to preferences and change render threads to 7 and it should use the fastest 7, also try cinebench r15

i think it was built in to some intel software, i was talking to intel about with a friend and he gave me some software i ran it and he next thing i know windows got a driver update and then the problem just fixed it's self...
