Amazing how little of an upgrade it is over the 3570K.

The GPU is the only thing that's seeing the performance boost, I wonder how it compares to the A10-5800 though.

I think this generation is focusing mainly on power consumption and graphics .. Consumes a lot less than the 3570K which may leave some headroom for higher over clocks (as long as they don't have crappy thermal paste under the ihs) ...

EDIT .......

Looks like were gonna be delidding again -

Meh. I will just be getting a 3770k here soon. I am not interested in the current 1150 and I was really holding out for it. I will wait again.

Man if these are real, I'm very surprised. It doesn't look like they're much of an upgrade over a 3570k at all! If that's the case, that's good news for us AMD fans as this gives them a chance to make up some ground. Would be nice to have a good competitive cpu market again.

the thing that amuses me is how little an upgrade the 3570k is over the 2500k, and now this, ofc it should be a little faster. but i think Intel screwed up on the 2500k and made it too powerful, now even they struggle to replace it! no wonder amd have taken so long to even come close

Maybe they're reaching the limit of their "Core" architecture. In many ways AMD may be in a better place the fact they've a new architecture on their hands now, even if Bulldozer and Piledriver have been lacking in some areas. But then again knowing a company with the R&D budget the size of Intel, I could be very wrong.

In many ways they screwed up years ago. The Core 2's are still quite powerful for a lot of mainstream tasks even nearly 7 years on, same goes with the Phenom II's. It's no wonder people aren't upgrading their PCs as much.
