i5 2500k cpu cooler

I'm looking to overclock the CPU to around 4.5ghz with the view of maybe more at a late date if i dare! I've been looking at the noctua and the silver arrow but I'm not ready to push the button just yet. their quite expensive and I want to make sure there aren't any cheaper quiet and stable coolers which I'm missing?

Nh-d14 is the best air cooler imho, although expensive if you want the best cooling id recomend that.

Yup the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro/Advanced should be good enough for an OC up to 4.5GHz. I'd definitely consider the NH-D14 for the long run.

Yup, they've got excellent customer support. As long as you have proof of purchase for your NH-D14, they'll mail you the 2011 mounting kit for free.

I believe they will ship out free mounting kits for most if not all their coolers if you have proof of purchase since 2005 onwards. So that's really cool.

If the havik was so good NZXT would give one to TTL... But its probably some second rate cooler thats on par with the hyper 212

(the hyper 212 is good but its 1/3rd of the price

Yes the NH-D14 has more surface area, as it is a "twin" tower cooler. Like i say to all of the noctua lovers (i.e Ruthless) i'll gladly send you mine to use and see for yourself.

The Havik might not be as "good" as the D14 but it is a "good" cooler. NZXT won't send Tom one because of the H2 review not because they are afraid of what he will say.
