Over the weekend I swapped my Noctua + some cash for a WC kit and installed it Saturday evening in my new case (600t white). This was my 1st time watercooling and i was a bit nervous before hand as i had worries of it all going pete tong - however when i made a start on it, my confidence grew and i rolled my sleeves up and dug in.
After 2-3 hours of case swapping parts, installing WC, cable management and leak testing - I came back with this:
(The res return hose isnt kinked, just the angle of the photo
)
Now the temps seem to be around 4-5C cooler than the noctua however at the end of the month im going to start a project log and eliminate some of the less attractive things you see in there and hopefully increase its cooling efficiency.
Current parts:
EK Supreme HF Easy Mount CPU Waterblock
XSPC RS Series 240mm Dual Radiator
XSPC X2O 750 L/ph 12V Pump Rev2 with Dual Drive Bay Multi Fascia Acrylic Reservoir
Clear hose
Deionised water (for now)
2x Zaward 120mm Golf Fans
1x Corsair 120mm case fan
1x Corsair 200mm case fan
New parts (subject to change)
EK Supreme HF Easy Mount CPU Waterblock
Koolance CU720V 240mm Dual Radiator : HX-CU720V
XSPC X2O 750 L/ph 12V Pump Rev2 with Dual Drive Bay Multi Fascia Acrylic Reservoir
2x XSPC 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD (13-19mm) High Flex Tubing : White
Antifreeze (Recommended by my dad who is an industrial chemist)
2x BitFenix Alchemy 3-Pin Fan Cable Extension 30cm : Sleeved White/Black
1x BitFenix 8-Pin EPS12V Extension 45cm : Sleeved White/Black
1x BitFenix 24-Pin ATX Extension 30cm : Sleeved White/Black
2x BitFenix 6-Pin PCIe Extension Cable 45cm : Sleeved White/Black
1x NZXT 30cm Front Panel Premium Sleeved Cable White
1x BitFenix Internal USB Extension 30cm : Sleeved White/Black
3x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Case Fan 1850 RPM
1x Bitfenix 200 x 200 x 20mm Spectre Non-LED Black Quiet Case Fan
I`ll naturally be taking photos during the rebuild and post a project log. Is there anything you would change? Most people have recommended a change of rad however the max rad height that fits in this case is 35mm so im forced to stick with a stealth 240 rad and ideally one thats 30mm or so as it obstructs access to the 8pin cpu power quite alot.
