But i dont know wich to choose, no watercooling on me (its to darn expensive)

Ive looked at a few:

Coolermaster 690 ii advanced

haf 932 black edition

haf x

650d

600t

NZXT phantom

silverstone rv02

Wich one do you think i should choose?

Out of the ones you've listed I'd definitely go with the silverstone rv02 if it was my money as the airflow in them is suppose to be tip top

There's also suppose to be a rv03 but I haven't seen anything of it so maybe it hasn't been released yet.

but its so darn ugly with the golden lines and that stuff

lol Yeah, I can see what you mean but the rv03 has really grown on me.

An the golden lines, imagine how good a UD7 would look in this case with a GTX 570 Phantom and a Titan Fenrir Evo! http://www.hardwareh...stallation.html That would look mint!

What about the FT02? Just as good in performance but doesn't look half as bad, imho?

haf 932 black edition

No disrespect to you or anyone else who digs this, but to me, now that's an ugly case. Looks like it was hit with an ugly stick an then dragged through the ugly forest

Personally if ti was me and it was just for air cooling I would go for the 600T failing that the Phantom.

Go to your local shop and take a look at them in person. 600t is huge and fat for a mid tower case.

Since you mentioned air cooling is OK, I'll mention antec 300. I have an antec three hundred and I really like the look. The newer version has a cutout for CPU backplate removal. You can find many reviews and read about the pros and cons..

Here's something you may only discover after getting it though: You have to either cut the front panel ground wire or cover it with electrical tape: in the newer cases, the front panel USB and audio ports are grounded to the case directly *and* to the motherboard. But the case is grounded via the PSU (PSU cases are grounded). So you end up with a circuit... I kept crashing the PC just by touching the case.

I really like the 600t. I usually stick with the 690ii or a HAF 912 simply because of price though. You can't beat them IMO for the price and what you get.

hey guys what happened to the Fractal Define R3
ohmy.gif

surely a option

If you want a quiet rig then I'd definitely go with the R3 but for a performance rig, not so much as you'd have to remove all (well some) the sound dampening covers and add fans. Just my personal opinion though.

HAF 912 has nice features (removable hard drive cages, for example), but I never liked its "teeth."

Me either. I don't really like the looks of any of the HAF series. But for $50 and free shipping at newegg, you won't find anything better built. It's really a steal for the price.
