I can't believe it's another Noctua NH-D14 thread!

<3 my for my Noctua.

My i7 930 is currently clocked at 3.6GhZ, and is being cooled by a Noctua NH-D14 (using the included TI).

My question is: does 37 idle, and 67 under stress sound reasonable?

I am preparing to make the push for 4GhZ, but want to know if I may have to do something first to the cooler to make it work better since some people seem to get much better temps on their D14s.

Cheers

EDIT: Also, the fan on it is facing the back case fan, I have noticed that other people have it so that the fan faces the front of the case. Does this make a huge difference?

the main thing to tell us is Vcore and BCLK dude, also if the fans are running off of a molex, with or without the fan speed reducers or if its on the Mobo headers

Gah, speedstep has a stupid name on gigabyte boards

Well it's disabled now.

It's gone down to 66 under Prime, but it still seems a bit high.

It's connected onto the mobo btw without the silencers

Connect the fans via molex NOT mobo or you wont get full speed.

Ok now I really am confused, I have everything that was included in the pictures by Tom, but they're for low noise are they not?

Blue and black ends are to reduce speed. The molex to 3pin is just full speed 12v which is what you should use

My friend had a similar problem with missing cables, turns out the ebay seller purchased the product and took them out for their own needs before reselling the unit as new. Fortunately the seller was concerned about receiving negative feedback and in the end sent the cables and a postage refund.

Not saying the same has happened here but I would definitely chase it up with whoever sold it you, at least I would after I have turned the house upside down to make sure I simply have not misplaced them
