i have it up and running seems to work fine. software says it has 215 hours on it. i have 2 quick questions.

1) how do i tell what version of firmware is loaded on it without risking anything up? (id rather not know than run the risk of breaking the system)

2) if the firmware is out of date should i update it? i can find no list of what if anything the firmware updates fixed.

Please remember i have a Mach II (using 134a) not a mach II GT

im running an asus a8n32-sli deluxe with an fx-57 processor clocked to 3450mhz :) with 2 bfg 7900gtx cards in sli mode.

Thanks

Welcome,

Okay if its working - dont update anything, firmware should only be re-flashed if you have a problem.

From what you there so far in terms of the FX57 overclock everything looks fine.

I am looking forward to you joining our Benchmarking team and entering your scores.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply's ive already run a few 3dmark 06 scores but im processor bottlenecked (i need an fx-60) of all the 06 scores using a single core althlon 64 processor im 5th with a score of 8741. Will be downloading 3dmark 05 soon and should see better results there.

Again thanks for your help

You will find that an x2 4600 will help you too - I just happen to have one for sale that'll do 3.25ghz under phase (clocks better than a 4800 ;) ) Get you to 10k in 06 easy :) Would take ur Fx57 in trade too :)

i might as i have 2 fx-57's right now i need a couple of weeks to test which one clocks the best. what htt speed are you using to achieve 3.25ghz on that 4600? i.e. 287x13 etc. and have you pulled the ihs off the 4600 or is it still attached from the factory?

Thanks
