Since when did you get one of theose?!

What rig are you running these days? Sure you have the bios set right?

P.S. get some benchmarks in hwbot!

on the IX38 or IP35?

which BIOS version?

It`s in the IX38, bios is... 12b02 (from memory, it`s one of the last betas, maybe 14b02).

I had to beta the thing cos it was sticking me on an x6 multiplyer with no movement. Generally gave the feeling it didn`t know/like the cpu.

Have you tried it in an IP35 pro? or did you pass all the ones you got on?

I think its just young mobo/chipset syndrome...

And i grant the access to the bench section, apply here and id be happy to grant you:).

Think Tox is onto something there - Vista does it... Don't have it so I don't know how to turn it off.

I saw you were building about 19 PC's (slight exaggeration :p) but I didn't see any bad a$$ kit like that! Fair play.

I want to see 3dm06/sp1m etc. No excuses. Tonight.

:D

Ah ic, I thought that was for something else.

I kept 1 IP35pro for myself, got a Q6600 in it atm. Works really well, bios is almost exactly the same.

I thought it may well be new cpu thingy, but I`ve seen this posting and I seen somewhere some1 oc`ing a qx6700, which kinda turns me away from that. IX38 has been out a while now too along with the qx9650.

Vista throttle ? Wtef!?! Nah can`t be. I know Vista identifies the cpu by it`s name and stock clock, often putting what the actual speed is afterwards. Anything more definate on this ?

think that the latest IX38 beta is 12b08.

That screenie was done on an IP35 Pro though so I too think that it's probably an immature BIOS thing.

I`ll check on the exact number when I get home. Pretty sure I got 12b02.

Is there a listing saying what this release resolves/whatever ? Or cos it`s beta they just `come out`.

U reckon it`s still immature ? I mean it isn`t an absolute pita that I can`t goto x10+, but it would be nice to be able to manipulate it better vs the clock.

EDIT: having said that, the stock bios that was in it kept reading things wrong, like the temp always seemed to be 20 degrees in bios.

Ok, it`s got 12B03 bios in it.

Just now I set it to 350x10 just for giggles and whilst the boot posts, u can almost see the post change the x10 to a x9 (something happens, but I could be way off).. anywho the OS boots and results look like this:

Which tells me it`s definately running @ 350x9 cos the PI score confirms it, cos running about 360x9 gives closer to a 12s result.

What`s spooky is that the Coretemp thinks it`s running @ 389x9 (3500 ish) - which is 350x10 obviously.

Kinda, it`s layout is almost a clone of the ip35, the multi is in the uguru utility menu in the bios.

U set it to x10, save, exit and on startup it reverts to x9.

Just flashed the 12B08, took half my memory out to get around the C1 error thing etc, but it`s running.

This 12B08 is pretty screwy in the cpu multi department. U have the same options, however the number to change x 9.0 allows changes to the decimal and whole number .. seperately. If u present enter to input ur own value, 10 for example (it asks for 6 to 31), it shows 1.0 but also displays the correct clock value (3400). - Now if u save and exit this (even tho it looks screwy), the posting shows x9 and when u go back into the bios, it`s changed from "user define" back to "auto".

Gonna perhaps check the version below this. Only reason I`m not using the official release, is cos the temp reports @ 20 degrees constantly.

lmao
