How to W/C Kemp's case :P

Just bought kemp's case. It comes with a:

Aquacomputer Evo 360 RAD + Grill (mounted on the top)

And a res (DangerDen Clear Bay Res i think, or something :p)

This obviously changes what i was going to buy for my loop (less stuff needed, different spec?)

Wondering on the best pump for the job (deffo doing cpu, got the dtek fusion already), pretty sure im doing GPU along the way and maybe, just maybe northbridge.

Im gonna get some XSPC 1/2" tubing, and stick them over 1/2" barbs and attach some jubilee hose clips for security.

As for filling the thing, is there a proven coolant, or do you guys get de-ionised water and mix crap in with it? What stuff is best to choose?

I'll second that.. DDC with custom top (lots to choose from) or D5 for 1/2" on a 360 Rad and more than 2 blocks.

If you dont want to spend a bit on claimed non conductive coolant which has all the protection against foreign metals and corrosion then you can always go down to your local petrol station/asda/halfords and pick some Deionised water and then just buy some SuperCoolant + Dye if you want dye and mix away :)

Man ... i feel bad 4 u

Yes u have a fantastically gr8 case (I perused *Proper Definition of peruse* the build log -- such a beauty)

but Kemp has ur address + one scratch and he may call round (he has a collection of sporting bats)

i'd say get teh D5 :) be best for all those blocks. just added my physx card to my cpu and gfx loop on a 360 rad, D5 isn't even bothered lol

I use water and Zerex with some UV additive

I'd get either a DDC with nice top or a D5

Would it be best to get some F1 for that protection from algae etc. plus correct ratios of each liquid?

Where do you stand on the D5 vs DDC (oclabs/alphacool) POV?

DDC Ultra with OCLabs top all the way. I've done a heap of testing (DDC Pro and Ultra) and have just got to get the results up, I'll try and get them up for you this weekend. DDC Ultra + OCLabs top will push near 1100 litres of flow per hour (on my 1/2" loop) and head pressure in the vicinity of 46 - 48 kPa from memory. It's a wee beasty....

http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=599 ftw?

Although will my loop be able to control it for the time being - Dtek Fuzion, A resevoir (which one was it kemp? 5.25" DD?)

I dont want to chnge the EVGA cooler on a 8800gt until i stepup to the 9800 (or whatever p00ns at the time)

My only worry would be that the DDC would create somewhat of a tidal wave inside your reservoir. Someone who's got a similar setup might be able to answer better tho.

The DDC Ultra with OCLabs top will be fine, but way overkill until you get some more blocks in the loop. However it will stand you in good stead for future proofing. The reservoir sits quite low in the case so I would imagine that you may hear 'slosh' from the radiator if anywhere. The reason being that the res will be constantly full, and the radiator being above everything else will become the new res (in a fashion).

Ahh good - future proofing is my aim so it should accomodate any extremities i may go to later on (watercooling 3 items+)

So xmas list -

DDC ultra + oclabs top

2 metres of XSPC 1/2" tubing (or mebbe 3 metres?)

Feser 1 PURPLE uv stuff (black and purple is a nice combo i reckon)

Loads of 1/2" barbs + ill get some jubilee clips from a DIY shop or something

Yea i will unless my uncle (who owns a DIY/garden centre) can help me out :p

Do you mind pm-ing me all the stuff thats coming with the case so i know how many barbs etc. i need.

Cheers mate
