How to protect piece of hardware from static?

I have spare sound card, which I am not going to use, and I thought it could be a good idea to sell it.
There is one problem though: I do not have packaging materials from it.

Do you know what is the best way to protect it from static if you don't have a spare anti-static bag?

For something like a soundcard, I'd be comfortable just wrapping it in bubble wrap tbh.

It won't zap it?

I've never had any problems with static in my experience whatsoever.

With something like bubble wrap, it won't really produce a big enough static charge to knock out components anyway. I'm more than happy sending sticks of RAM and sound cards and smaller things like that in bubble wrap.

If you do have doubt about it, go to a local PC shop and they'll most likely have loads spare. The guy who runs one down the road from me is happy to give me them whenever I need them for a 20p donation to the charity box on his desk lol.

Ok, thanks alot for help :)

I'll pack it in bubble wrap then. I actually happen to have quite alot of it left.

To be fair, an anti-static bag is about as good as bubble wrap once it's been opened.

Good idea to bag/wrap storage stuff tho.

Just don't rub the wrapper on the carpet for 5 mins before you use it :p
