How to overclock/titer timings?

Hi guys,
I'm new to the pc stuff, built my first pc a week ago :)
I did follow the CPU OC tut and managed to get 4.5 @ 1.3v, now I want to OC my ram. It's 2x4gb RipjawsX 1600 @ 8-8-8-24. How I OC?

i5 3570K @ 4.5
Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H

welcome to the OC3D forums.
pretty much the same way for the CPU, but using RAM voltage and speed.
but i wouldn't expect monster OCs. prolly 1866 with a voltage bump and a CAS9
edit.
again welcome

First of all Welcome :)

I agree with Airdeano, You'll probably not get great OC results, I've got the Red 9-9-9-24 1600Mhz gSkill. I cannot get 1866Mhz with 11-11-11-30 @ 1.65v. Just pot luck of the silicone draw I guess!

Anyhow, For 1866Mhz I'd try the following settings:

1.65v
9-9-9-28 2N

If that fails, Notch it up to 10-10-10-30

Overclocking RAM is not really worth it and you will not see big improvements as when OC'ing CPU/GPU. Those differences will be visible in benchmarks, but rarely in real usage.
But it never hurts to do it for the experience:D.

I'm not sure it makes that big of a difference, Try this and see if it posts:

8-7-8-24 @ 1T using 1.65v

There's a reported a 3 to 5% performance increase using 1T. But you'll not see that in real world use!
