Ok peeps i found this video some months back, And i posted everything the guy did wrong on watercooling, He then deleted my useful comments and sent me hate about how i was jealous etc, Even Dared me to post his video on forums, But being as i didn't really Care at the time i figured, He wasn't worth my time, But 5000 views on an 28 likes 5 dislikes i decided i should get people who know what they're talking about involed, Someone could watch this video and kill there hardware to easy, He boots the system up many times without coolant for example.

Enjoy the Fails,

Here is a conversation he had with me telling me i didn't know anything, Etc well one of about 5 msgs he sent me via utube.

"Thread Please

Go make that thread on overclockers, I want to see the replies.

My video is not the best around, and I actually realize that. If you ever noticed my video title is "Watercooling OVERVIEW" Not so much of a tutorial, but rather to showcase how I do it.

Anyhoo.... 5.5Ghz albait with huge voltage. 1.42 voltage gets me 5.2Ghz 24/7 use =) Temperatures Idle/load(P95) 38/68

So you can figure out for yourself if my water cooling is efficient or not."

When you post, Say "OC3D was here" to let us know you read this here as it's getting posted everywhere

I'm a watercooling noob, but I'm not retarded (I did cut myself about 7 or so times doing my build, on various things like the motherboard io area, the middle slot on the side of the HAF 922, etc). I'd never boot a system w/o a heatsink (which he basically did). The first thing I'd do is not starve the freakin pump. He also spread the TIM by hand. The only thing he did right was use a Corsair PSU. I'll make a video around Christmas and do it right.

I almost wanted to cry. So much money could've gone down the drain (I could use the PSU, mine is going to die and/or catch fire.)

He also setup the rad as push push 200mm with 120x2 then the rad lol, He made so many mistakes it's scary that before this was linked on OCN and here he had like 28-5 likes to dislikes.. 5000 views, I bet afew people have blown hardware if they took his advice..

And no paper towels.. Really!.

Not to mention he tightened each corner of the block down wrong he should have done that in a X patten abit at a time, Plus you don't need to put 35Kg of weight on a Cpu that's just asking for crushed core

Anyone remember the old T-Birds without a shim, Flip a coin! *Crack* FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

I really hope tom watches this video... if he can endure it

I gave up after the fans were set up PMSL .. applying tim like that cool that how i used to do it 15 years ago ..... Sorry but apart from a WTF is going on here i just gave up.

Tom's head will explode.

I think it'll look something like this.

Minus the "Buy some groceries" part. It's on Rooster Teeth. Search YT for "Mortal Kombat 9 - Fatalities 1"

Bottom line, if Tom sees this, he'll tweak and/or breakdown. I almost did. Horrible technique all around.

Atleast try to watch it... he even turns on the system without any fluid in it....

And he didnt turn or flip over the rig. There must be enough air in the radiator to lift a blimp.
laugh.gif

If he used a 1 litre bottle,he need at least 100ml more fluid in the loop.
huh.gif

Worst thing,he states that he made several wc-rigs this way.
angry.gif

And he is quite lazy, why not take the 200mm fan of and gain better access, even if he did that part wrong too.

No papertowels, spreading tim with fingers, power to the system, dry pump running.Hope there wont be to many too follow his video.

He only had 1 dislike when i first found this with 250 views, Look how many subs he has it's allmost as many as Tom has, Think of how many people have ruined their hardware from this video..

I've never watercooled a rig before, but I have seen TTL's watercooling video. It doesn't pain me anywhere near as much as some of you people, but I do remember enough from TTL's video to conclude that this guy should rethink everything he is doing.

"I haxed mac with linux and got a A+" - Classic.

I know i spat my coffee out, We all had a very hard laugh about this at work today, At all of his Videos.

The sad thing is has alot of subs, And i don't understand why, Shows that 95% of his Subs just don't know any better..

I'm sorta in shock at the moment...give me a sec...

Right. Damn, even I can see that this process is BAD and I'm fairly new to this stuff. It must be pure luck he's not had stuff go pop when he switches his machine on with what is in effect a DRY loop. *sigh* I guess it's a testement to fairly robust components that the rig survives this...IF indeed it did as there's no "and here's the rig benching" part to the vid.

Thanks for posting the vid, it did entertain in much the same way a horror movie would. Shame we didn't get to see the firey death scene at the end though where the entire cast die horribly

Cheers,

Scoob.

* Not indended to make me sound like a psycho, honest **

** Though who wouldn't have pissed themselves if the rig exploded right? Right?

Did he take the video down?
laugh.gif

He's "privated" it so I guess he's kind of taken it down. I think his subscribers can see the video. Oh well, I guess I'll have to miss out on some Lol's.

EDIT1: does anybody know his channel name?

EDIT2: His username is Spartan117FS.
