How much ppd?

Hi guys

A while back i mentioned i would be getting a 680 and a i7 3930k, and now at long last i now have them both after much saving.

Got them both running last night and after 10 minuted of folding my ppd hit around 50k ppd?

Can someone guesstimate if this is right or not? Seems a little low to me.

Was running the 3930k @ 4ghz and 680 classified was at stock. Have since stopped until my new heat sink arrives tomorrow as CPU was getting a little toasty.

Sounds about right unless you get some of the high point WUs on the 680. Normally you'll get about 19k PPD on the 680. The last few days I was getting about 130k, but now back to normal PPD.

Ahh cheers dude.I was expecting a little morel like 70k ppd but 50k i sent bad i guess.Done a little folding this morning and it shot up to 110k but obviously that's wrong.

You know how much more ppd i can expect from increasing the overclock to around 4.6?
Also you reckon they will sort out the folding issues with 680's soon and will the ppd from them increase?

Anyway will try smash out a million points on behalf of team redline before i go on holiday next month.Hopefully will be done within a month.Will continue again after December when i get back.

Not sure when they will do something about the kepler (GTX670/680) issues ,
i seriously hope soon ! and with those new beta WU's i think it will be soon...

600Mhz increase around (depending on the WU project Folded) 4000/5000PPD its a hexcore on -BIGadv right ?

5000? Nice.Eh yea hex core i dont know if i have bigadv set though.

Just to compare how much ppd does the 580 get?

A GTX580 (depending on the WU) 15xxx/17xxxPPD..
You can change the BIGadv settings in the client (v7/GPUtracker , not sure which you are using)..

Change v7 client to expert > Configure > Slots > smp > extra slot > add
Name: client-type
Value: bigadv

@SnW I thought that all the bigadv on windows were gone you could only do it on linux/unix and you need 16 threads to do one so it looks like a core hack in vmware or some thing, correct me if im wrong?
