How does my PC specs stand againts the PS4? :)

I am just wondering if I could drag on with
these specs for another 2-3 years at High 1080p,
and 3-4 yeas from now still can play
new games at medium maybe?

And how do my specs stand againts the PS4
in general when comparing them?

Thanks

My PC specs are roughly as follow;

Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)

Hyper X Ram 8GB ddr3 1600 Mhz

Galaxy Geforce GTX 660 Ti GC 2 GB GDDR5

AsRock motherboard

Kingston v300 SSD-Drive 120 GB

2x500 GB Harddrives + 2x2TB External Harddrives USB 3.0

I also posted my Desk & Work Area work station/Gaming PC setup here if you want to check it out.. at this link http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=58862

Thanks again I'll be waiting for answers, Peace. ^_^

Its an ok spec i don't think the i7 was necessary when you only have a 660ti if i was you i would upgrade the graphics card maybe to keep it going for 3 years other than that it should be fine :) unless you have an OCZ SSD then it will probably break tomorrow :)

a little bit better than a PS4 and you can't even play games maxed out at the moment, so why would you be able to in 4 years.

It's an honest question, why would I be trolling?

I just want to know where my PC stands at the moment and what I should expect for the near future.

The PS4 just came out and the new-gen games will be based on the PS4's power so I was curios how my PC stand againts the PS4 Specs that's all :D

Thanks.

PS4 = med settings
but the PS4 doesn't work like your PC, so a PC with similar specs to a console will do worse. i.e. in 4 years your rig will be trash.

APIs on the console are far more open for developers than PC (until mantle which is limited to AMD) and thus means that games get better as the hardware gets worse.

what? games get better when you downgrade the hardware on consoles?
i suppose you mean optimization, which is the reason why consoles hold up better than PCs with the same specs, yea.

I see, so what should I upgrade based on what my current system specs are now, to increase the period of time for my PC, to be able to play modern games smoothly for another 3-4 years?

what i mean is as time goes on hardware gets worse, lower in the market in terms of performance.

hence later games tend to look better and run smoother as the hardware ages on console, which with PC you don't the same effect.

new games push aging hardware more and more requiring you to lower graphics and/or resolution.

the consoles have to lower resolution and graphics as well, it's just not as obvious because you got no options.
i know that a console ages better than a PC and i know why as well, but i wouldn't say that it keeps getting better, i'd say there is a point where the hardware just gets too old and the quality starts dropping again, happened to xbox360 and ps3 a couple years ago.

I'm planing to buy a PS4 next year as well, but still I prefer having both console and a good gaming PC, so I'll probably upgrade my GPU in a year from now, but for my CPU, it's probably fine for a longer while I guess even with a new GPU.
