I think it's not just a ROG thing. I'm pretty sure it's on any ASUS mb with bluetooth built in now. I know mine has it, just never played with it. But I can give it a go (atleast attempt) if you would like so I can get you some answers.
I like the phone feature. I am guessing they don't have an iPhone app however.![]()
It's a useless feature, why would someone buy a killer gaming rig with a high end board then not be in a position to use it locally so they have to overclock it remotely? Would someone buy an Xbox/ PS3 controller with a 10km connectivity? Why would they be playing their console from 10km away?
I don't think that's what it's aimed to do in the slightest.
It allows you to tweak your overclock via the BIOS without having to reboot your computer every time to make an adjustment. It also allows you to make changes mid-benchmark. I definitely think this feature has it's time and place.
