How are we going to raise OC3D awareness?

We would hope that our friendly community is what keeps people coming back for more, unfortunately though it seems that's not enough these days. People want free stuff, so we started giving away free stuff and that's helped a bit. But I'd rather see people becoming regulars because they like this place and the others involved in it as well.

I think keeping fresh news (which PV does an outstanding job of) and consistently good reviews (kemp, XMS, etc) will definately continue to bring people around.

Plus (i'll get slapped for this) we will be linking all OC3D reviews to the products we sell (I know you two, I've been meaning to do this for ages...some are done already I'll get to the rest soon) so hopefully potential customers will have a good review to back up their possible purchase.

Just out of Intrest it would be good to know for us mods how you guys actually found us. Let us know it might help the brainstorming.

Tbh OC3D nearly always used to pop-up when I searched for pc solutions for stuff in the past, it`s only recently I read through the whole site and joined up.

Never use a search engine - persee - always just type what I`m after in the link bar on IE. Of course msn/live defaults when it can`t find what u`ve typed on u`r hd.

As for other things.. make sure when reviewing a product, on a manufacturers behalf especially, that part of the deal is that they have a linky-ad on their homepage of the product ? (if OC3D don`t already) Even if it`s just a link to the review - I know some homies show the logo, but a logo-link would be a world better.

Outside of sig-link spammage, I can`t think of much else atm, and as Frag said - u don`t want that, it`s/can be annoying.

(It may well be off-topic, but as the guyz have said above PV`s stuff I keep an eye out for on almost a daily basis)

Yes, poorness sucks teh donkey. We need some members with more money than they know what to do with. Eguy comes to mind, unfortunately he's not hardcore enough, it took long enough just to warm him up to the idea of watercooling let alone busting out the phase, LN2, or DICE.

I don't think we use the dynamic pricing on our servers, it pretty much sucks. The deagle is wicked expensive too, but some times the "deal of the day" is something good at a really good price.

I think we have something like 4 or 5 CSS servers now.

Yeah Dwp sux monkey balls! $6700 for deagle, not sure if it's even the most expensive gun now.....

The UK clan is pretty active in the 'Enemy Down' league, we don't do CAL or anything. We're a mix between fun and serious - we don't play together everynight, we just have fun on the pubs and have a couple of matches a week.

There was a USA clan, but that fell through

i use to play cal-m back in 05. quit cal because i almost failed grade 12 and they remove quickscope which gimped me completely. ok at ak but not leet like some of powersgaming members.

joined cal-o played for about 2 month before clan died. joined esea because stupid nubs in pubs kept banning me and calling me haxorz. (my steamid digits is long WHY? because i created a account for css when i got the hl2 cdkey from my 9600XT geez i had the game before it was released...)

it would be cool to play css with dwp though. amour is 2 expensive and that gives me an great advantage (i rush with tmp and hs everybody i see, and i get banned after 4 rounds)
