Homegroup alternate

keep having trouble gettin all my pc's to see the shared files between them one pc will see it all (the one i dont need to see everything) the other one will be a member but not see any of the other pc's and the another will not be able to share files etc so it really buggin me havin to re set up another homegroup to keep an eye on things for one pc, not all these issues happen at once but its happening a lot and just giving me a duff homegroup and having to start over again

its not for sharing video or that i just need access to specific folders on it for monitoring my 3 pc's ppd through HFM for folding@home

I dont even use home group, I just share files the old school way. Dead easy if you set up user accounts and passwords with Windows 7, you can even right click remote desktop.

ive tried using that aswell but i still cant get my mums pc's fah folder i need access to show up as shared even tho on her pc it says its shared

is it on windows 7? have you enabled all the sharing options and to make them visable to other PC's?

yeah windows 7 on all pc's and yeah enabled in sharing

i was going to look into using gbridge

It has to be a setting matey otherwise it would show up in the network tab of my computer.

Aye if its win 7 its deffo a sharing problem fella. dont bother messing about with progs just find out what the issue is.

all seems fine now, just removed the share and reshared it and its showin up in there now cheeres mate! now i can monitor all 6 gpu's on my folder so i can see my ppd
