Been looking around some online stores at some bargains and i have stumbled upon a 'half' decent barebone system for the price, barebone systems never really took my intrest but it seems a cheap way of upgrading since ive already got a few parts (will be upgrading bit by bit):

250GB HD

8600GT 256MB

2GB RAM

tft, mouse, keyboard, speakers..

what 'exactly' does a barebone system include, specifically this one:

from what i guess and see, to get it up and runnning all i need to buy is the CPU (Q6600 in my case :yumyum: ) and just put my other parts listed into it ?

its still not the best system but it will be better than my previous one! (6100sm-m mobo only runs the PCI:E slot at x8, but allows a x16 card :nono: )

Tbh mate if you game Id bin that idea off, as the pcie only having 8 lanes will severely hamper performance.

And it just means its a full length slot, you wont get an 8x gpu :p

thats why im binning my computer asap! didnt realise until i read today that it only used half

the asus motherboard in the barebone system runs the full x16 though :yumyum: i will also probably get a 8800GTS 640MB as i have a mate that will sell it to me cheap :worship:

Does it even have a PSU? For £134 it seems cheap but all you are getting is a fairly poor motherboard and a microATX case

There are better/cheapoer options avalible I think, this might seem good to a rookie PC builder, but I would buy parts seperate, better performance and value
