Low-end: Less than Radeon 9600, GeForceFX 5900 - not playable, less than 5FPS

Mid-range: Around Radeon 9800, Radeon X700, GeForce 5950, GeForce 6600 - playable at 800x600 with AA turned off

High-end: Radeon X800, GeForce 6800 - playable at 1024x768 or 1280x1024, with AA and AF depending on the exact model of card

Bleeding-edge: GeForce 7800 - playable at 1600x1200 with full AF

So looks good for quite a few of us. should be awesome

Time to go SLi mate It's funny that until nVidia releases some good drivers the 6800GT's in SLi slay the 7800GTX's in SLi.

I'm glad that I decided to put myself in the position to be able to upgrade to SLi... I was looking damn hard at a single PCI-E board but I just couldn't bring myself to do it knowing that some day I'd be able to buy another 6800GT for cheap and drastically improve my gaming performance for a fraction of the cost of upgrading to a next-gen vid card.

I used to be pretty opposed to SLi, but now that games are getting more and more sophisticated I can see where SLi is and will be a huge benefit. I picked up my 2nd GT for like $289, can't beat that with a fuckin' stick! Anyone building a new comp could buy a pair of those and have some wicked gfx rendering power for cheap. I wasn't about to spend $400+ a few months ago for a second card, but once they dropped into the $200's I was all over that shit
