Hitachi unveils 1st 500gb notebook drive

Insane storage for a notebook. Coupled with the idea that these are actually installed in laptops due for release soon, does this put an increased price tag on a unit that has previously be considered a temporary pc ?

Are laptops getting to the stage where they`re considered more and more as a single pc solution for an individual ?
