HIS HD 4850 IceQ VS PNY GeForce GTS 250

Basically I'm currently using the HIS HD 4850 IceQ 1 GB 256Bit Gddr3 Video card. I have the chance to pick up a GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256Bit Gddr3 for EXTREMELY cheap, I'm saving for a full rebuild anyhow. But I'm talking cheap enough to where if it's a worthy upgrade (and not the sidegrade like it appears to be on paper), then I would be willing to pick it up in the meantime.

I mainly only play SC2 right now, but my HIS chokes hard on some of the custom maps (lots of units on the screen at one time).

If picking up the GTS 250 would help in the meantime while I'm saving for my new build I'm all for it. I'm talking 20-30$ so it's no big deal.

I know the GTS 250 is recycled tech, but even if on paper the video cards can have the same stats they dont necessarily test that way.

4850 is faster. If you have a secondary PCIE slot it would be useful for hybrid Physx.

I dont sadly, not until early next year when I get to work on my new build. Good to know then, "wasting" 20$ wouldnt have been the end of the world, but it's still 20$.
