high capacity battery and portable case?

so basically, im set on a idea to build a portable xbox 360, and possibly xbox one when it comes out, i am going to put it onto a 20" screen that is in a laptop type build, that is bigger of course, but im wondering what would you guys recommend for this? i mean, the case, i was thinking just a pelican case, with the foam stripped out, and the top thin bit for the monitor, 20" ips, the bottom for the console, what do you think? of course i will fill it with fans and put some air flow holes in it

also, im wondering if you guys know of a hight capacity battery that would last a xbox 360 about 2-3 hours, or have any ideas howmuch MaH that battery would have to be, this is for things like air travel, road trips, power outages, of course it will be plugged into the mains most of the time and i will think of a way to have 2 plugs, one straight to the xbox, one to charge the battery, so the battery does not die from being used too much

tbh thats gonna be alot of weight for a flight, i dont know if they will allow that as a carry on

nah, they let me carry on a heavy as fuck laptop once, this will be no where near as heavy as that

also, if by any chance this fails and is too heavy, i could always just buy a dark matter when its available

ha fair enough im just thinking even if you got like an old 360 and stripped it down into a slimmer case you could save weight there. but even with a light monitor around 20" thats gonna be rather heavy, and the batteries well thats gonna be expensive and heavy.

Just get a gaming laptop, with an xbox controller

To even have a chance to make the Xbox run for a reasonable amount of time, you'll need a fair few batteries in an array - Not to mention high MaH capacity batteries that'll probably set you back a nasty chunk of cash. Imo, it's not worth it, although as a home project it'd be pretty cool...

i got a wireless xbox reviver for £6 off ebay, not sure if that is allowed on plans i would go for a wired to be safe.

@op if you were going to use a battery you would likely be looking 8000 mah at least. people have made portable xboxs so it is totally doable but i would go for a smaller screen maybe 9-13" to save space and power.

dont forget weight. and ment usb. thought wireless would be a no go aanyway lol
wont be long till p[lanes are flown with a controller lol

well, cash is not a problem, i am basically doing this because i have a full summer with nothing to do, so i really could care less about the price as long as it gives me something to do

also, for the fire risk, no, it will not, i know what im doing :p it will have plenty of cooling

here is some info on what i will be using

instead of the disk drive, i will be using a x360key gecko, i know its pirating, but who wants to carry disks with them all the time? + its easier for me to test my gta stuff on it instead of hotswapping

a build in keyboard attatched to the top of it, mainly for the gta mods, but also to send messages

a xbox controller with a short wire, about a 30-45cm cable, if that, since the cable does not need to be that long, long wires are annoying

a few holes for cooling, 20" monitor, arduino board for touch sensor buttons

then the standard usb and ethernet ports that the slim has

sounds awesome mate :P you should post a build log so will give you more to do ^_^
