Hello everyone i just need people to help me out with a build i am prepared to take on. I would like the build for editing but also for minimal gaming, i use my ps3 for gaming as most friends have the console. I will be using many editing prgrammes such as Sony Vegas After Effects Photoshop not that this matters. I was orginally thinking of buying a iMac but then i thought i could get more for my money if i create my own. Ok budget for the moment is £1250 also could you explain what each product is for or good for. Thankyou if you do help me out <3

Basically Could You Post A Setup including monitor

Edit: Is This A Good Build? http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16093645

Hi,

I'm learning up for my 1st build too, been at it, figuring it all out for weeks now, I know the sense of needing to understand how and why a component fits in.

I am getting an Intel i7 2600K - The reason is it has hyperthreading which is best for photoshops' needs. The K on a card means you can overclock it, not that I will yet, but here in Australia is only 20 dollars more..

I am staying away from duel vid cards, xfire & SLi as it just seems complicated and glitchy.

In graphics cards for nvidia GT means good and GTX means best quality, you don't read the "size" by the first number as that is just the edition but by the second number.. like a 550 is prob not as powerful as a 480 etc..

Good luck

Nice explanation, yhh im going for the i7 2600k, but i was also looking at the AMD processors. Need someone to compare them for me i do my current editing on a laptop and that works well, so i cant see a huge problem on which processor to get although i will probably just get the 2600k

heres my opinions

http://forum.overclock3d.net/index....y-first-build-for-editing-and-minimal-gaming/

also bud. posting the same thing 3+ times isnt going to get you answers any faster. threads dont disappear. anyone who every hops in this section of the forum will see your post. if no one is answering, no one is answering. regardless of how many threads you make.

yhh sorry about that, i thought i didnt explain myself enough, but didnt know how to delete the thread...

If you have the funds go for Toms picks of 2011 in mobo, GPU & CPU......you can't go wrong....

Check the home page for the full review...It's epic
