Heya,

First time builder here, used to be just those guys that accepts pre-built machines.

I bought a pre-built machine about 4 months ago and was appalled by the price, made me built a machine that drains my money now hahaha.

The pre-built specs were:

MotherboardAsus P8Z77-M
i7-3770K @ stock 3.5GHz
60GB SSD (it's missing any markings for me to distinguish it - though it works)
1TB HDD (same case as the SSD)
2x XFX 7750 (without the crossfire bridge - i know, it's messed up)
650W PSU

How i rebuilt it :D
Current specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP7
CPU: Intel CPU Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge clocked @ 3.9GHz on 1.14V
Graphics: 2x Asus nVidia GeForce GTX 680 4GB DirectCU II
Graphic clockspeed: @1006 (base clock) @1200 (boost clock)
Memory: 4x 4GB Kingston HyperX PC3-12800 KHX1600
Power Supply: Thermaltake TR2 800W

This is the readings i get from BIOS, the Easy tuner, Hardware monitor.

Oh, before I forget, I got CM Storm Enforcer for the case - though I will change it pretty soon :|

*PS: still new, please don't be too harsh on my noobish-ness regarding the build

**Edit**

Not completely sure about what new case I should get and I'm also thinking about
picking up some braided cables for the build - was thinking black,a bit of red and orange
to stick with the motherboard's color scheme.

I started to sound like I needed to move this whole thread from intro to something else,
I guess I'm a bit excited, anyway, thanks and hello :3

Hi zip2k4 and welcome to the OC3D forums.
Nice upgrade to your rig. Where did you purchase your pre-built from?
That is messed up that you didn't get a crossfire bridge.
Enjoy your time here , this is a good place to learn .

Thanks again for welcoming me :D

I got it while I'm on a study in Australia (still in Australia at the moment)

I bought it from a company called centrecom, I can't seem to find any parts
that was supposed to be part of the build as well.

To be fair, i did get it due to impulse buy, however most of the things were
faulty - the only good thing out of the whole build was the cabling (which i destroyed horribly at the moment)

Impulse buys are the worst , most of the time.
I've learned my lesson with a few impulse buys myself .
I know it's too late now , but were you able to contact them to tell them things weren't right with the system?
I used to buy off the shelf computers and after building my first in December , I will never buy a pre-built again. It's a little more expensive , but you know you have good stuff when your done.
Start some threads and ask a bunch of questions , there are alot of friendly people here that are willing to help.

I noticed it too late, it was after 30 days when I noticed - as at the time
I was predisposed to work and study :(

This has been nothing but true so far :D

Thank you so much :D
