hey guys need bit of help choosing my psu

Im building my own pc an i was told to go for a version 2 psu(but dnt no any names for search for to price them up) was wonderin if any1 could tell me anything bout um....

bin told i need a ver:2 because im buildin a computer with these parts in

q9600 intel core 2 quad

4gb ram

gigabyte ep35c-ds3r mobo

nvidia 9800gx2

triton 79 heat sync

It's the ATX version standard for the type of connectors the psu has.

Version 1.x had 20 pin & 4pin power connectors

Version 2.2 or 2.3 now have 24 pin & 8 pin power connectors plus sata and pci connectors etc. plus improved voltage control and efficiency. You can still use these even though your mobo has 24 & 4 pin power connectors

Look for 'modular' as well as this minimises the number of spare cables blocking airflow and looks better.

Others can recommend a better psu than me though.
